The resignation of Sen. Migz Zubiri only proves that there are still politicians in the Philippine government who has “delicadeza.” With his exemplary act, indeed, he is a man of gentleness, character and tactfulness. May his commendable move infect other politicos to do the right thing even when no one is looking.

ASEAN Week Celebration

August 7, 2011 to August 13, 2011

In 1997, a presidential proclamation declared August 7-13 annually as ASEAN Week in the Philippines.
The ASEAN Declaration states that the aim of the association is to accelerate economic growth, social progress and cultural development through joint endeavors in the spirit of equality and partnership in order to solidify and strengthen the foundation of a prosperous and peaceful community of Southeast Asian nations.
