It’s not a surprise to me anymore. Almost everyday, there’s a new glitch and anomaly being hurled against the previous administration. The reports that PAGCOR flagrantly spent P1 billion on coffee during GMA’s administration only substantiates that graft and corruption have been intoxicated in the bloodstream of the government. And this would continue to pester the entire bureaucracy if the Aquino administration would do nothing about it. It’s not enough that PNoy used this report as spice in his SONA, he should act on it and not leave this unresolved. Those involved on this mess should be charged with appropriate sanctions. Furthermore, this irregularity is another litmus test for the president’s firmness on his crusade against graft and corruption. I only hope that PNoy’s ability in revealing the wrongdoings of the past administration equates his ability in rectifying such.
