Some 232 students of Ramon Magsaysay Technological University (RMTU) South Campuses (Castillejos, San Marcelino & Olongapo City) and meritorious undergraduates receive degrees, certificates and medals on the university’s 11th Commencement Exercises, April 6.
RMTU South Campuses composed of Castillejos Campus housed in Castillejos National High School (CNHS), San Marcelino Campus, formerly Western Luzon Agricultural College (WLAC), and Olongapo Campus, RMTU – Mondriaan Aura Consortium with a total of 89, 99 and 44 graduates respectively.
This year’s commencement exercises anchors on the theme, “RMTU 2011: Setting the Trend in Modernizing Higher Education in a Globalized Society.”
Zambales First District Representative Hon. Maria Milagros H. Magsaysay will serve as the commencement speaker.
Zambales solon addresses 2011 graduates
First District of Zambales Representative Maria Milagros H. Magsaysay addresses batch 2011 of Ramon Magsaysay Technological University (RMTU) during the 11th commencement exercises of RMTU – South Zambales Campuses, Apr. 6.
In her graduation message, she enthused to the graduates that “in this modernized and globally competitive society, you have now the potential to make a significant contribution to others by being true to the values inculcated to you by your alma mater, RMTU, and commit yourselves to lofty goals.
“Your challenge now is to find ways to differentiate yourself in this globalized society,” she emphasized.
The Zambales lawmaker also encouraged the graduates “to look forward to fresh opportunities and look forward with an eye toward how you too can be an inspiration to others.”
It can be remembered that Magsaysay also served as the commencement speaker of the university’s 7th Commencement Exercises in 2007 where she was also conferred the Honorary Doctorate Degree in Public Administration (Honoris Causa) in recognition of her outstanding achievement in public administration and governance.
She likewise keunoted the 10th Commencement exercises held April 7 last year.
